I got the title 'Nature's ruins' from the subject in this shot, the sandy banks of this wee loch get no rest, for at one end of this loch is a Hydro dam which appears to be constantly modifying the waters level.

This drastic rise and fall seems to have flushed the trees root system free of rich soil and nutrients and replaced them with course sands and silts.
